In the meeting, British Foreign Minister James Cleverley said that he has asked the Israeli government to respect international law and to bear the responsibility of saving the lives of civilians in Gaza.


Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that the peace process should be restored in the Middle East, military intervention in the Palestinian conflict cannot be a substitute for a political solution, the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should be the basis of a two-state solution.


 Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni urged the international community to create a roadmap for a two-state solution to the conflict.


At the meeting, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and France called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.


The host of the meeting, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, said in his speech that it is hoped that the participants will take steps for a permanent solution to the decades-old Palestinian issue and to establish peace. The creation of an independent Palestinian state is the only way out.


Egypt also expressed fears of a possible increase in the trend of extremism in the border region of the Sinai desert.


In the conference, the US limited itself to sending its coordinator, while Israel and Iran did not participate in the conference.
