Al-Azizia and Avenfield Reference: The Islamabad High Court has reserved its decision on the petitions of Nawaz Sharif

The Islamabad High Court reserved its decision on the appeals of former Prime Minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references.

In the Islamabad High Court, the appeals against the conviction of Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield reference and the application for Nawaz Sharif's protective bail were also heard. Heard all the petitions together.

Amjad Parvez Advocate and Azam Nazir Tarar appeared on behalf of Nawaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif was also present in the court while the Prosecutor General appeared in the court along with the NAB prosecution team.

During the hearing, the Prosecutor General NAB said that NAB has no objection to reviving the appeals against Nawaz Sharif's sentence in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield reference. If they have done so, their appeal should be reinstated.

Prosecutor General NAB said that Chairman NAB and he himself are in agreement that they will not object to reinstatement of appeals in the first stage.
