Nepal's Kaushal Malla scored an unbeaten 137 off 34 balls while Deepandra Singh scored an unbeaten 50 off 9 balls.

In the T20 format of the Asian Games' cricket competition, Nepal made new history and broke numerous records in a single game.

 

While batting first against Mongolia, Nepal set the record for the most runs in T20 cricket with 314 runs for 3 wickets.

 

In addition, Deepandra Singh and Kushal Malla each produced unbeaten scores of 50 runs off nine balls for the Nepali squad, and skipper Rohit Paudal added 61 runs off 27 balls.

 

In the T20 format, Afghanistan previously held the record for most runs scored.

 

Afghanistan defeated Ireland in a match in February 2019 with 278 runs for 3 wickets.

Deependra Singh of Nepal broke the record of fastest fifty of India's Yuvraj Singh, Yuvraj Singh scored a half-century in 12 balls against England in the 2007 World Cup, but 50 runs scored by Deependra Singh in just 9 balls.

 

Fastest Century:

 

Kaushal Malla scored the fastest century, surpassing India's Rohit Sharma and South Africa's David Miller.

 

Kaushal Malla scored a 34-ball century while Rohit Sharma and David Miller scored 35-ball centuries.

 

A record for the biggest margin of victory in T20 Internationals

 

Nepal also set a record for the biggest margin of victory in a T20 International, with the Nepal cricket team defeating Mongolia by 273 runs.

 

Nepal scored a record 314 runs for the loss of three wickets, in reply the Mongolian team was bowled out for 41 runs in the 14th over.

 

The record for the biggest margin of victory before Nepal was held by the Czech Republic, who defeated Turkey by 257 runs on 30 August 2019.
