Differences between the members of the legal team of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have come to the fore, with party legal team member Advocate Sher Afzal Khan Marwat accusing fellow member Shoaib Shaheen of being a "traitor". It has been declared.
Advocate Sher Afzal Khan Marwat on social media platform X made a detailed post against Shoaib Shaheen Advocate in which he alleged that “Shoaib Shaheen Advocate is the only traitor in PTI legal team”.
Sher Afzal Khan also accused Shoaib Shaheen of telling PTI's legal strategy to government lawyers.
In his statement, Sher Afzal said that I had tweeted about the traitors of the PTI legal team which I deleted after the advice of the seniors of the core committee.
It should be remembered that in August of this year, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat issued a statement on X in which he said that "some people within the party are traitors whom I will expose and kill".
However, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf termed his statement as 'his personal opinion'.
In his recent statement, Sher Afzal said that I am declaring in clear words that the only traitor in the legal team of PTI is Shoaib Shaheen Advocate, he mysteriously emerged in the last week of April 2023 and I am going to make him legal in Bani Gala. He had never been part of the Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF) or PTI before and his access to Bani Gala reflected that he had the support of some in our ranks.
He claimed that Shoaib Shaheen handles cases related to the Service Tribunal and does not know the ABCs of criminal law.
He wrote that despite not being a lawyer in a single criminal case registered against Chairman PTI, Shoaib Shaheen started posing as Khan's lawyer which was a fraud. supported, when the entire PTI leadership was blacklisted on the electronic media, he was the only person who was neither stopped nor blacklisted.
He wrote that Shoaib Shaheen was irrelevant in the chairman's legal team, being a lawyer on employment and services matters, but having two men in the PTI, he reached almost every meeting of the legal team. , I soon realized that our legal strategy was already known to state attorneys, sometimes leaking our information and at one point even putting my life in danger.
He said that Shoaib Shaheen forced me to reveal my identity but I gave up the idea temporarily after the intervention of two senior PTI officials. was proud of, and it is common knowledge in the Islamabad bar.
He said that Shoaib Shaheen knew that I was behind him and he along with some other traitors started conspiracies against me, I challenge that he did not represent the chairman in a single criminal case and yet he shamelessly claims to be the chairman's lawyer.
"This person has caused us a lot of damage in our legal battle, I know that this tweet will encourage his facilitators and associates to undermine my position in PTI and through his secret friends, he wrote. It should be noted that the reaction of Shoaib Shaheen Advocate on the allegations made by Sher Afzal Khan has not been revealed till now.
However, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has expressed its disapproval of Sher Afzal Khan's statement.
In a statement issued on X, the spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that the recent statement of Shirafazl Marwat Advocate is based on his personal opinion and impressions which has nothing to do with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The spokesman said that Shoaib Shaheen, Advocate Chairman, is a key member of the approved legal team of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, a part of the core committee and is authorized to interpret the position of Tehreek-e-Insaaf on legal and political issues.
The statement further said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf values the services of all the members of the legal team, including Shoaib Shaheen Advocate, for the movement and pays tribute to their determination and independence.
